ORIGINS
Bo.Hemian leather is one of the latest arrivals in Baxter and it is born from the desire to underline and enhance as much as possible all past life of the animal’s coat. After long researches and attempts, the attention has been focused on whole leathers of native American bulls, where scratches, goads, wrinkles and signs made by thorns remain particularly underlined and evident. The result is a very soft leather, with a sensual touch. The concept of
“defect” is redefined, elevating it to evidence of a free life and of a characteristic texture.
TANNING AND MANUFACTURING
Chrome tanning and re-tanning, followed by a colouring process in pure aniline. The following manufacturing stages that lead to the carrying out of the final result, are characterized by a series of special washing procedures, that end with a final “nabuk” process, given by an exclusive proprietary procedure, that gives leather a marked light/dark effect, more or less deep, according to zones.
MAINTENANCE
The maintenance of a nabuck leather like Bo.Hemian doesn’t require special techniques of skilled cleaning; the only requirement is mainly the constant and periodic use of a soft brush to revive its surface and of a slightly dampened cloth to remove some possible dust from surface.
