ORIGINS
With the introduction of this leather, Baxter managed to produce a leather that was able to use as much thickness as possible. It is just in this way that the article Rhino is born, with a thickness that can reach even 4 mm.
TANNING AND MANUFACTURING
This article, carried out on whole bull leathers worked in their full thickness, is characterized by a nabucked grain and undergoes a process of chrome tanning and vegetable re-tanning, followed by a phase
of seeping aniline dying. This article is born to enhance the beauty of leathers of great thickness and quality, where a light nabuck process gives them depth and warmth. These leathers show an extreme grain variability, that goes from almost smooth zones to zones that remind the elephant’s coat.
MAINTENANCE
Since this leather hasn’t undergone any kind of treatment, we recommend avoiding, as far as possible, a direct exposure to sunlight or to any very intense light sources, that could make leather’s colour change. In addition to these devices, we recommend a simple and constant cleaning through the use of a soft brush on the product’s surface.
