ORIGINS
Tuscany leathers have strongly contributed to write Baxter’s history. They are characterized by a fascinating lightening effect, that is by an interplay of nuances and reflections that create a continuation to each movement.
MANUFACTURING
These leathers are hand-buffered, with a technique that respects leather’s naturalness and doesn’t damage its high quality.
In order to get the glossy effect that characterizes and marks out Tuscany leathers, a vegetable and completely natural oil is spread on the whole surface; this oil then seeps through leather’s fibres and, thanks to high temperature, it comes to the surface, making leather glossy. The secret is to dye this particular eather typology with many colours, in order to re-create a sort of three-dimensional effect and a seeming depth (given by the different degree of colours absorption). This leather is in continuous motion and perfectly suits and adapts to any external spur, creating ever different colour interplays.
MAINTENANCE
As it is finished with a natural oil, Tuscany leather tends to absorb the colour of what leans on it, if a sufficient quantity of time passes, giving chance to act. For an ordinary maintenance of this leather, we recommend using a soft dampened cloth, woollen if possible, and to wipe delicately the whole surface with it, in order to “spur” oils and revive colour. Whoever buys a Tuscany hide can only be satisfied with all the extraordinary peculiarities that mark out this leather, whose naturalness is enhanced by that sensation of luxury and refinement that this leather is able to give. This is a sensation that can be felt by anyone who gets in contact with this it, aiming to experience it like something absolutely unique and incomparable.
