A NEW CINEMA TO WELCOME A FAIR

YEAR: 2016

The Baxter Cinema opens its curtains on a new version: for the 2016 edition of the International Furniture Fair of Milan, it changes hues and decors. The wide interior space has been divided into smaller and cosier corners thanks to the help of bookcases; the niches in the walls have been covered by wallpapers whose colors are inspired by the ‘70s. It’s on this new stage that all the new entries introduced at the fair, presented here in different color shades, can get along with the Unique collection, made of unique pieces from the previous years that are now reinterpreted and re-elaborated. The Seventies are not exclusively thought for the furnishings: indeed, the scenography has been created through a research on the filmography of that decade. Some parts testify the screening of ‘70s movies, while in a specific projection room the work On The Couch, made by architect and video-maker Davide Rapp exclusively for Baxter, will be shown. The projections don’t end here: on the window, the trailer of the first ever Baxter-signed short film made by OffiCine IED and Anteo, in partnership with ELLE DECOR ITALIA, will be played in preview. There could not have been a better occasion to inaugurate the Baxter club bar, the perfect place where to relax and enjoy a drink, and to present Pietro Russo’s new bookcases: next to an ensemble of Baxter’s symbolic products, they create a living room where different styles live together.
