INSPIRATIONS BEHIND 2023 COLLECTION

YEAR: 2023

Vivid colours, like those of Andy Warhol’s canvases, meet material contrasts so sharp that they recall the ‘brutalist’ interiors designed by Le Corbusier: the Baxter 2023 collection is the striking convergence of apparently distant worlds.

Like an underground river flowing through the bowels of a multi-faceted land, the iconic, kaleidoscopic and radical character of the 1970s is, among its sources of inspiration, perhaps the most evident.

The desire for freedom, the urge for spontaneity, the attempt to find alternative paths to modernity, the oversized dimensions, the bright colours: the themes that define that decade chase one another and overlap in the memories of the designers behind this year’s main new arrivals for Baxter.
