IN THE HEART OF VILLA OLMO, A LIVING AREA DESIGNED BY BAXTER ON THE OCCASION OF THE LAKE COMO DESIGN FESTIVAL

YEAR: 2023

Baxter, with its sense of belonging and love for this city, will take part as a sponsor of the 5th Lake Como Design Festival taking place from 16 to 24 September 2023.

Lake Como Design Festival is an annual themed event, where storytelling and research develop through a series of projects in the historic centre of Como and around its lake. Guests will discover historic, never-before-seen or forgotten places, and experience the city’s artistic and cultural heritage and witness a unique dialogue between history, architecture and design.

The 2023 programme opens the doors of the historic Villa Olmo to a meeting of designers, artists, publishers and galleries of modern and contemporary design. Several special projects will follow one another in the villa’s different rooms, creating a unique exhibition, surrounded by a large Italian garden and overlooking the first basin of Lake Como. An elegant Baxter installation in the heart of the villa will invite the public to relax and admire the extraordinary dance of the starlings, documented by director Jan van IJken in The Art of Flying.

The Piaf sofa is the focus, and its keyword is comfort. This sofa can give those who have the pleasure of experiencing it, a sense of reassuring protection. Piaf designs space informally and organically with great compositional versatility, imagining conversational areas, and places for sharing.

In this Baxter living room, the public is invited to sit comfortably on the sofa and admire nature in all its beauty.
