An era that revolutionized the language of design comes back to life today, reinterpreted with boldness and contemporary sensibility in a narrative that fuses modernist elegance with material experimentation.
Launched in a completely transformed setting, the new collection draws inspiration from Mid-Century Modern, reimagined through an innovative lens. Fluid geometries, refined materials, and unprecedented craftsmanship give shape to pieces that express a dynamic balance between form and function, tradition and avant-garde: tables with sculpted bases, seats in fine leather, sculptural lamps, and chrome metal structures evoke the sophisticated atmospheres of Californian residences where nature and architecture blend without boundaries.
The identity of the collection is further enhanced by a chromatic palette articulated in three evocative themes: warm, natural tones that recall the desert landscapes of California; sophisticated combinations of sand, deep violet, and blush nude; and finally, vibrant contrasts between antique pink, brandy, and cyclamen—shades inspired by the creative energy and sunsets of the Sixties.
To mark the occasion, the Baxter Cinema undergoes a radical transformation: ten years after its first opening, the space is reimagined as a sensory installation an immersive stage where light, matter, and transparency redefine the visitor experience. The new continuous terrazzo floor—a blend of cement and marble—reflects soft, fluid patterns that converse with the suspended architecture, while translucent curtains float like theatrical backdrops, creating visual depth and new perspectives.
Every element of the project—from the rhythm of surfaces to the muffled sound of footsteps, from the narrative density of the air to the tactile warmth of materials—is designed to turn the presentation of the collection into a total experience. In this evocative setting, Baxter’s designers share the inspirations that guided the creation of each product, revealing visions, cultural references, atmospheres, and materials that intertwine in a collective narrative.
With West Coast Aesthetics, Baxter reaffirms its vocation for a kind of design that transcends time, stirs emotions, and gives shape to spaces that are at once a refuge, a manifesto, and a poetic gesture.
On the occasion of the 2025 Milan Design Week, Baxter offers an exclusive experience by transforming the prestigious ALTO RISTORANTEinto a remarkable temporary pop-up.
An iconic venue that, for a few days, is imbued with new atmospheres, becoming a sensorial extension of the Baxter universe. An immersive journey that goes beyond the limits of a simple exhibition to narrate design as a total experience: matter, light, sound, and taste blend into a unique story conceived to engage all the senses.
